Comment:

This is a two-sided CD of sorts that's split between dark and light. The first ten is dark and moody while the next ten is light and poppy. This mix is a basic reflexion on the spring season in my neck of the woods especially the month of May. Title from the great Portishead track.

Bon printemps to you. I'll go with the half having France Gall and The Breeders. A vaguely Magritte-ish photo, by the way.

this one bumps another from my top three Salman1 mixes of all time. really wonderful stuff here. been enjoying the new Breeders, and Bodies of Water are one of the best things to happen to my CD player in years. also loved Portishead, Linda Scott, France Gall, Martina e Rosina de Peria, Tujiko Noriko and Animal Collective tracks. the mixing of newer/hipper songs with classics from throughout the world and decades past creates a glorious effect. a lovely soundtrack for spring in Seattle.

Lots to love especially the Animal Collective track. Try as I might I still can't get into Joanna Newsom.

I'm definitely going to have to hear this one because it's hard to imagine Joanna Newsom leading off the light and poppy section. I guess I'm with Hemizen on that score, but the rest looks intriguing.

Yep, another top 3 placing from the Salman repertoire I think. Just a wonderful mix. The first half had some incredibly beautiful sounds. And the second half, amongst others contained France gall & Linda Scott. Brilliant..
