Made yesterday while working, in honor of my getting to see and meet (!) the amazing Mr. Ron Carter, who played with a quartet at my school Friday night. He's played upright bass and jazz cello with Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, the Kronos Quartet and other modern groups, the list goes on and on, and is truly a god on earth. Really one of the more breathtaking musical experiences of my life. Has anyone ever seen that man's HANDS? Anyway so I was understandably in a very jazz-type mindset and this was very easy to make. Some standards, some more experimental. Soul Coughing is on there because in certain songs they wisely include samples of Raymond Scott music. And the JSBX track just needed to be there, I don't know why but it did.
