Comment:
This is for Rob Conroy. I don't know exactly how this came about, it started off kind of happy and pop-like and when it hit the Jeff Buckley it all changed. So it goes through various styles but I'd definitely consider it night music . . . sort of walking home at night in a city right after a thunderstorm, where all the streetlights are reflected in the water on the street . . . or maybe I just miss New York. Some of it is definitely wierd and theatrical, esp. the JC Superstar and the two Kurt Weill covers directly following. It calms down by the end though.Feedback:
Love the Nick Lowe song. Stereolab thru Serge Gainsbourg is perfect pop forever. God this just looks great.
lovely to see Fantomas on a mix CD. very, very nice *thumps up*
I'm with Curtis, although I'd go one further....I really like that Hefner...
I'll see Valis' Hefner and raise him an Otis Taylor...
Jesus, Angel, you really outdid yourself for me... your stuff keeps getting better and better. Awe-inspiring, mouth-watering, etc. Please send via FedExpress so I can listen to this for the next 48 hours that I'm still cooped up. ;-) (Just kidding, btw, although in theory that'd be great.)
By the way, "Another Girl, Another Planet" was my second choice on the "you wish you wrote" portion of the "The song that..." survey. :-)
