Comment:
During a discussion about Hilary Duff or whatever the hell her name is, my daughter (age 11) asked me what I used to listen to. I made this for her. "Those all sound like the songs on TV commercials," she said, but she listens to it all the time. Her friend wanted me to make one for her too. New movement at the middle school!Feedback:
She's right. All the stuff we liked is used for commercials nowadays. Excellent selections.
Yeah, this is very cool, although for me, some of this would rank as guilty pleasure ... doesn't mean I wouldn't love a copy, though ...
Oh, and Wooly Bully is one of Ry Cooder's very favorite songs. He thinks it's genius ...
Very nice.
God, I love this stuff!
Well, well, well...here come those Santa Ana winds again. Nice job, TT !
Di TT o Mr Jackson!
a really great one. Kicks off with a smashing little-heard fav of mine, then takes us on an innocent pop-filled trip through the best of the sixties. Love it!
Good to see a Nautticat mix again! (Santa Ana winds indeed!) Educate the "utes".., treat 'em right. Great stuff here as the Scotsman says.
Hey, welcome back! Ditto Valis, McDonald, Dom1 (ditto-ing Jackson), Gene, Sally2 and Mixxer.
It's cool that you have a daughter in middle school that has even as passing interest in what you were listening to. And the fact that they she gave it a try and likes it is even cooler. Lots of long time faves here.
This makes for a very nice listen.
Extremely nice.
Yeah, my dad got me into this stuff back in elementary school. My favorite band in 3rd grade was the Monkees. All this music is definitely amazing. A great mix.
Lovely set of classics
I must be getting old b/c I really don't mind that all the old favorites are being used on commercials - they're standards at this point - there's no where else to hear the old trax! Unless it is on a killer mix like this.
A nice collection of classics.
Looks real nice... classics, but not the overplayed classics. Love 'Time of the Season'.
Nice. Lots of great songs here.
Every one's a winner, baby.
Nice stuff! Crimson and Clover's one of my favourite tracks ever, but it all looks great.

Who are you Nauticat??
Hey-I used to listen to this also!
excellent mix. just give her time. most people don't like great music when they're that young, but as long as she is presented with music like this it will form a strong foundation for her tastes later on.
Some real classic songs on here. Great choice!
