Comment:

A gradual recession from harsh electronics and computer-generated sounds into natural, organic terrain. Oriental flavors are the mark of tracks three through to six. Later, the Sun City Girls move the vibe into middle-eastern grounds, which carries through to Badawi, and then regresses into the touchy folk of Comus. From there the natural Brazilian acoustics of Lula Cortes merges into the western folk of the Skygreen Leopards and then into the celebratory handclaps of Panda Bear (of Animal Collective), eventually ending with some truly down-to-earth world music, guided by the beats of the `tar', a traditional Nubian drum.

All things return to dust.

Darwinism in reverse in musical form. Would that I might hear this regression to which your fascinating notes allude. I am gripped and torn by curiosity. So be it...

Yeah, dude, Hamza El Din must have been popular in February. That's when I conceived MY Hamza El Din mix! It just takes me so long to make them. Anyway, really interesting mix, I'd like to know how Shalabi gets back to the garden!
