dirty and fun
suzi quatro rules.
Once upon my young man's time, there was a magazine called Circus, and it was good, a monthly that read like an underground group that started it's little rag to get free records and piss off The Powers That Be...They would put in a center of the mag, two page photo of the Flavor Of The Month... and I dated this one shot of The Runaways for most of my high school internment. All 5 girls were the kind that I'd drool over, and that would walk past me like I was a Greenpeace Hare Krishna homeless guy... Joan was the "scary" one, the one that I worshipped and adored, that introduced into my overheated hormone factory the idea of leather, with the Mistress holding...Um...Good mix.
A mix that certainly enhances your reputation. Great stuff. Dig the Rare Earth track esp.
Thank you DJ K. AOTM is made 1 bazillion times better with the addition of your musical heart. Nice mix.
Great Stuff! Top to bottom this is making me dance in my chair.
Thanks, Karen. Though we exist @ polar opposite ends of the mixing spectrum
(quiet/etheral vs loud/raucus, you're obviously a force with which to be reckoned.
Viva la turntablism!

Thanks for the nod karen :-) Great work here. Gotta love John Jett!!
Wowee Karen! This one knocks you back a bit but I'm loving it. Thanks for the props.
Jonesin' to hear this mofo. Thanks DJ Karen.
Put another dime in the juke-box baby

in-house apothecary at Casablanca Records
Wasn't Funkadelic on WestBound and then on the Warner/Burbank imprint?

See, this, nay, THIS is why I wanted a high speed connection, and I got one, and DAMN GIRL YOU DA SHIT!!!
While Funkadelic may have been on WB, George Clinton (Dr. Funkenstein) and his faithful Clones were on Casablanca. They called themselves PARLIAMENT; you may have heard of them??!!?
I was thinking 'bout the Robin Johnson/Suzi Quatro thing (Suzi's "Rock Hard" is on the Time's Square soundtrack, after all). But, seeing as how Robin was not a professional actress (If I remember correctly, she was basically plucked off the street) it seems unlikely. That's my opinion at least.
Wowee!!What a lot of fun! Machine Gun Etiquette is one of my favourite albums EVER and to think that there are even more derivations (if that is a word) than I had imagined!I did manage to download this (yay me!) and I have scared the Dubai traffic jams with this excellent mix all day. Yahooo!P.S. Thanks for the props . . .
What a great mix. Slammin' as the kids say...I think. I love the thing from start to finish, but really dig the DJ Karen Adams Scumbag Wasted Seed Mix bit and that Joe Jackson through the end had me swinging my hips, though I'm sure I looked anything but sharp. Play it again DJ!
Nice. Er, well, not *nice*, but well-done. :-)
Joe Radio: Very good point. I wonder who David Johansen had in mind when he was grooming her on the "Flowers In the City" track?!
By the way, anyone out there who has "Flowers In the City" or "The Night Was Night" by Desmond Child & Rouge or The Times Square OST on CD, please contact me. Thanks!!!
