In which we are introduced to our heroine Marie and her insomnia. Her brain
won't "shut off" and allow her the sweet dreams for which she aches.
Marie longs for her childhood days, her special friend with the foolish grin; a
time when she wore a younger -- and slimmer-- girl's clothes.
As much as she wants to, our heroine cannot escape her feelings of anger and fear.
In typical abused child fashion she turns her anger on herself.
Marie meets Soren and falls in love.
Soren re-introduces Marie to Marie. Soren's unconditional love allows our heroine
time for introspection and a much needed return to faith.
Marie heroine begins to understand the power of trusting God in her everyday life. She ponders
the wait for a Messiah that will come and the Messiah that is revealed through
her random acts of kindness.
