OUTPATIENT STATUS
Comment:
"I feel that any form of so called psychotherapy is strongly contraindicated for addicts. The question ''Why did you start using narcotics in the first place?'' should never be asked. It is quite as irrelevant to treatment as it would be to ask a malarial patient why he went to a malarial area." - William S. Burroughs (1914-1997)[download mix here!]
Feedback:
I feel so much better now, Nurse Zoe.
Great selection of quotes and tunes, thanks
Groucho Marx, Timothy Leary and Jack Nicholson, can't get much better than that!
Nice prezentashun & cover art, Ms. ZoT.
one flew over the cuckoo's nest was actually on TV earlier today, i was watching it - love the sound clips from the movie, & the casablanca one too, & i love the amy winehouse & dusty springfield tracks
cool
I guess anyone who puts Groucho Marx & John Oates on the same mix, has a few problems, but you're no crazier than the average asshole out walkin' around on the streets and that's it. Plus you mix a damn fine mix, Ms. ZoT.
Wonderfully eclectic, masterful use of the sound clips too. I love it.
Love the flow, the snippet...the whole gosh darn originality of it all. So fantastic.
Actually, I've toyed with the idea of using audio clips in between songs on my own mix discs, but I could never quite figure out how to do it. But if I had, Cheap Trick's "The Ballad Of T.V. Violence (I'm Not The Only Boy)" would have been prefaced by a sample of Jason Miller from "The Exorcist III" (1990): "Remember Karen? Little ribbons in her hair...yellow ribbons? I killed her. Well, it was inevitable, wasn't it? A divinity shapes our ends and all that?! I picked her up in Richmond...and I dropped her off...at the city dump! Some of her...some of her I kept! I'm a saver. Pretty dress she was wearing - pink and white ruffles! I still hear from her occasionally...screaming! I think the dead should shut up unless there's something to say..."
Crazy!
Clips from Groucho, Hepburn films, the wonderful Dusty & the swoonsome Roxy track. Another wonderous mix Ms Jarvis..
This is just awesome. Enjoying it right now. It all flows really well together.
As always...
Very, very cool. Listen to Uncle Bill.
This, pun intended, blows my mind.
This one rocked my box - especially the linedancing link! Another fab creation, ZoT - hope for a relapse in the near future.
