She'd Her Apron Wrapped Around Her and He Took Her for a Swan
Comment:
A Roots/Reggae/Folk/Cajun/Blues/Bluegrass conglomeration inspired by the first weekend of the New Orleans Jazzfest (which I, unfortunately, could not fly away to) and my recent exposure to two Iowa roots acts (tracks 8 & 18) who I have taken a likin' to. Lots of great Old-Timey stuff on here. Title is from track 20.Feedback:
Hey, good-lookin'!
Yes indeed, lots of great Old-Timey Stuff hear!
Ah, the clarinet polka! & that great Percy Mayfield
tune, surely that ought to be the state song? Or at least this could be the Louisiana state mix . . .

Nice genre-mix!
Very nice.Every time I see your mixes, I'm reminded that I've forgotten to mail that Jazz Mix you wanted. Sorry :(
Love this kind of stuff.
Some cool stuff, particularly the Muddy and Kottke.
Lots of great picks here. Can't go wrong with Percy Mayfield.
absolutely wonderful tunes, mix & cover...
While this is not my most favoured genre, you've chosen a lot of songs I truly like AND a POLKA!
Fine stuff. Especially the Dillards and Blind Boys. And I think "Good Morning Little School Girl" is one of those rare songs that I like every single version of I've heard.
Excellent. I love that Ollabelle track.
yep. real real nice.
A very very nice compilation with an interesting epilogue.
