Comment:
About six weeks ago, inspired by several other ALT DJ mixes by esteemed AOTMers, I thought I might like to try one. I couldn't think of a better cohort than the illustrious Joey De Vivre (Jeff C.). He has sent me some great discs and we seem to be on a similar wavelength (frightening as that is). I approached him with the idea and he agreed it would make for an interesting project and so we began. I started by sending him the attached picture (sans title) and asked him to kick it off. Rather than choosing 40 minutes of music and then having me fill in the blanks, we decided to e-mail one tune at a time in MP3 format and see where it went. The process took just over five weeks, Jeff is on the odd tracks, I am on the evens. I had an absolute blast with the process and found myself looking forward to the next e-mail to see where Jeff was going to lead me.I am absolutely stoked with the results. Mr. De Vivre .... many thanks and much respect.

Feedback:
The e-mail one tune at a time in MP3 format and see where it goes format is the best way to do these kind of mixes. It's exciting aint it?
Guys, this mix is wonderful.. A Whole Lotta great tunes all stuffed together on one great compilation. Bravo!

Wow! I am stunned, this is fabulous! Man, do I want a piece of that, er, mix. Long live the AOTM tag team mixing league! Let me know what I can send you guys.
This looks great and I second SwankQueen's remark, but I'd rather have you individually. ;-) (Kidding, kidding...) Great mix.
This, my friends, is amazing. Flat out fantastic mix. Wild woman or not, nobody could have the blues with this on the ol' stereo.
Yes, a fine team effort... you really seem to be running with the 'vibe'. Great stuff.
A wonderful pairing. Brilliant mix.
This was my first time doing it with another AOTM-er, & I have to thank Mark for making it such a pleasure,
-- it's a
whole new kind of fun when you're driving down the mix-making road & don't know what's coming around the next corner, but you're pretty sure it's going to be good . . .
As Mark says, he kicked off the whole thing with a picture, which turned out to be a great way of keeping the tunes coming back to a central spinning spot, & as I think you can see we were definitely both picking up on each other's hints & hits - -
Had a good time making it, & although I don't know if anyone other than the makers would really notice its dialogue aspect, I do think the end result will be a blast for anyone who likes to do the soul shake . . .
Mr. P, thanks for the ride!
