i made this for my best friend a couple months ago, it was basically the first mix i made for her that didn't have an objective (i made her a ryan adams intro before this & a distillation of the with the lights out nirvana rarities boxset). i tried to keep a sonic theme throughout - mostly piano-based pop/rock & melodic indie rock/pop. i remember being really proud of myself for the bookending of the beatles' "good morning good morning" & "good night" - i thought it was so clever. anyhow, she really liked it, so mission accomplished.
