Comment:

Spent last week back in Pittsburgh, saw a Pirate Game, did a little fishin. saw "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" with Rob C, chased my nephews and neice around, saw the Avett Brothers at Club Cafe and went moderately nuts at my favorite CD shop on the planet (Paul's). This mix is a result of those purchases (and seeing the movie). It starts out a little melancholy, gets a bit twangy, then Worldy, mellows out, goes a tad raucus and lands on Louie. All in all a fun ride and a nice pile o discs. Title from the Johnston track.

Great mix, my friend, and even greater to hang with you (however briefly, with my schedule right now--bad timing) last week. I'm really considering purchasing the entire available Johnston catalog after seeing that movie last week.

God bless the out-of-control record binge. There's something very rewarding about it. Lots to like here, namely the Bo Diddley and Detroit Cobras.

Lovin' this, start to finish, but especially the Diddley and the inclusion of one of my favorite Beatles tunes.
