Comment:

My partner in crime this time round is the redoubtable French Connection Over the last few weeks we have battled electrical storms and dodgy internet connections to concieve and give birth to our first baby (the first of many we hope). We got to rock out, we got to get introspective, we used songs both brand new and old and here before your eyes and ears is the outcome of our alliance. Yours truly on odds, Cliff on evens. The artwork is supplied by Cliff and I mixed the project together (in a hurry it must be said as this was burning a hole in my pocket so to speak) I had a whale of a time and can say without fear of contradiction that our man in France is a great guy and a thouroughly decent human being. Enjoy the mix guys.

I had a ball too Barry, a devilishly balanced mix it is too, first of a whole brood I hope.

That covers going to give me nightmares, but listen to that kickass Primus cut will counter them. Looking forward to listening to this.

Great mix guys. Loved the seamless link between 3&4. I think Peter Bjorn & John could be my new favourite band. And it's nice to see some Matthew Jay round these parts as well. A match made in 'eaven.

This fucking rocks, playing it now. The flow between the songs works really well. Love tracks 1, 4-7, 9, 11 (really dig this track!), 16 & 17. The last three songs kind of lost me, but overall excellent! Hope to see more from the two of you again in the future, for this was a treat, with a great cover to boot. Inspired me to start a new mix.

other than Nobody & MCoM, which I've been enjoying these past few weeks, not familiar w/ much here before now. thanks for the download. great opener, and nice energy in the Dionysos, Dwarves & Silverfish tracks. that Peter Bjorn and John track is real good and I'll probably dig just about anything called "Joe Dallesandro." fine work; looking forward to the birth of your next kid.

What a lovely baby. I see it has Cliff's eyes. Hope you kids pop out a few more, as this mix needs some siblings. Love to whistle along with that Peter Bjorn and John track too

This is awesome - it definitely has the best features of each parent. Have to echo Sammy on the Matthew Jay sentiments - love the Lancaster Orchestra and Of Montreal too.
