Comment:

A musical arrow piercing the heart with grief.
And now, seven songs representing six genres...
01.`La Saeta', a collection of writings from the late 19th century by
JosT Marfa Sbarbi and Antonio Machado. 02.This track was recorded in NYC on November 29, 1955 with
Joe Wilder (tp) Hank Jones (p) Wendell Marshall (b) Kenny Clarke (d) Marlene (vo)
03.Bunny Wailer teamed with Peter Tosh and Bob Marley to form The
Wailers in 1964. Marley's closest friend, Bunny Wailer is the only surviving original Wailer.
04.Lord Sitar was the alias for renowned session musician and guitar virtuoso
Big Jim Sullivan who, in 1966/67, found himself in the enviable position of being the only
established session guitarist in England to own a sitar.
05.On the intro of this song there is an excerpt from the just posted mix, The Devil Makes Work For Sam & Barry. Can you catch it?
07.This version of "Over The Rainbow", recorded on September 24, 1955, can be seen in the Laserlight DVD
"Judy Garland The Concert Years". The film (or rather the video transfer of the Kinescope) still exists and is the only known footage of Judy singing "Over The Rainbow" as she sang it in concert, in her hobo costume, sitting on the edge of the stage.
Featured Lyrics: To Make You Feel My Love
When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love

When the evening shadows and the star appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel

Aha, like what you did with the ole' Casiotone track. A fine listen, although Garth doesn't do much for me. Digged the Lord Sitar & Miles Davis opener. Your mixes are even shorter than your mentor's, impressive.
