Comment:

Why so many explicit lyrics in hip-hop? It's about love and people. It's about connection. It's not about butthole pleasures. It's not about this Rusty Trombone and the Dirty Sanchez or the Cincinnati Bowtie. Is it?

"love and people"? Nah. "connection" - yes. There, you see, I half agree with you -- well, not exactly half, but what the....It appears to be about self and how other "people" can feed self, help self, pleasure self and build up the importance of self. Ask not what you can do for others, ask what can others do for you. Then demand that they do it. Better yet, demand it to a kickass beat made by some kickass musicians some time ago. Sit back, preferably on someone else's lap, and reap those rewards. Fuck it, don't we all deserve gratification. I mean we can always find someone else to blame when shit happens.See, that would be the cynical view of some old timer who's not gettin' any...but me...me..I'm cool.. I ain't no fool. It's only music, for Christ's sake! And therein lies the quandary. Kickass mix, by the way. I would expect no less. What's this "butthole pleasure" to which you allude. Sounds messy and possibly uncomfortable. Now where's the pleasure in that?

Fantastic party mix. Loving the Nelly Furtado, Ghostface Killah, Gnarls Barkley and Shakira.

I think butthole pleasures should be encouraged whatever they are. Bit out of touch with some of this but I specially approve of Ludacris- the punkrock of hiphop...

This looks fuckin' awesome, Karen. Seriously, a great mix of many fun summer jams that have been bumpin' around the Porter household, as well this year. Oh, and you can't leave out the infamous Cleveland Steamer!
