Comment:

It has come to my attention that, in comparison to most mixers on this site, I do not have that rare gift of writing witty or informative liner notes. Hope you like the mix - do forgive my inability to say anything interesting about it beyond that it's a collection of tunes that have piqued my interest of late. See? This bit IS rubbish, isn't it? And now I'm stuck in some sort of hellish loop of writing about having nothing to write about. Help!

yes, but the way you wrote about not having anything witty to say was absolutely fascinating. I was glued! liner notes/schminer notes. let the music do the talking... and looks like you've said plenty. looking forward to Bulgarian Chicks, Gypsy Song and the Puppini Sisters; thanks for the link.

This mix bites, but the liner notes are fantastic! Seriously, this looks exceptional. Especially like the XTC, April March and I'm From Barcelona.

Talk is cheap, actions speak louder than words and nice action going on in this mix.

Funny.
Make sure to tell Salman1 about "Dimanche a Bamako." He's been looking for French language stuff from Africa.

Much prefer the opportunity of hearing a mix to reading about one, so, thanks for this spirited, great-fun listen!

I agree with the esteemed New Leif Allstars. Truly great mixes don't need any words attached to them whatsoever (well ok, maybe a tracklisting). This is a perfect example.

just spent the afternoon with your mix, and I'm here to report that it's absolutely brilliant! great variety, but still has a real nice flow. favorites include the Bonde Do Role, Transglobal Underground, Balkan Beat Box, Bonnie Pink (it's just crazy.), April March, Kodaly, Leon Redbone and Edu K tracks.

From someone who lately tends to write novels in the comments section, the mix is primary. Liner notes aren't necessary and won't transform a bad mix into something worthwhile. I like the look of this, seems like good flow from what I know. Good XTC pick.
