Just over an hour of songs that feature the Banjo. Title is the answer to the question, "What is the least used phrase in the English Language?"

It'd be nice to hear this.

I try not to offer suggestions, but I will here (don't know why): Beck's "Sexx Laws" has a nice bit o' banjo... Having said that, this looks pretty great, and I know a certain lanhamyodel who'd dig it.

I love mixes that focus on one particular instrument. The quirkier the better. I wonder if there's a tribute band anywhere in the world named Banjovi?

Oh, yes yes yes, Nest of Vipers is right, I dig this one. I also share sammyg123's love for mixes that focus on one particular instrument. I'd really like to hear this one...

Nice stuff! If you are seeking out some more tunes for a second volume featuring the ole' banjo,I believe The Books utilize "banjo samples" within some of their indie electronic pieces. Interesting listening to say the least.

Very nice. What?!? No Donut People?!?!?! (Check out "Summerville" and, if you must, "I Didn't Go to Town" on their esteemed debut.) Jeez... I've also always been partial to the banjo on Led Zep's "Gallows Pole"... Cool mix, though.

Super mix (though in an alternate universe there's a version that replaces the Squirrel Nut Zippers with the Monks).

All banjo - very cool.

Like this a lot, esp. the "Mermaid Avenue" track. Some candidates for vol. 2 might include "Take It Easy" (the Eagles), "Wendell Gee" (R.E.M.), and how about some love for Earl Scruggs? And don't forget a track from yours truly...if I ever get around to practicing. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to take a spin in my, uh... Saturn...

Looks fantastic! I do like a bit of banjo and you've got some delectable picks involving it on here, in particular, the Uncle Tupelo, Bragg & Wilco and Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Would love to hear this one. (Incidentally, what's the definition of perfect pitch? Throwing a banjo into the toilet without hitting the seat. Sorry.)

The banjo - the ONE instrument that gets less respect than the accordion - and yet, surprisingly, it often produces very pleasing results. I will try to make something worthy of trading for this, so I can hear it . . . . (meanwhile, can I send you Those Darn Accordions' "Hippie With a Banjo" ?)

I'm late to the banjo bandwagon, but this looks finger pickin' good. Perhaps some Beach Boys could be invited to the sequel -- if there is a sequel.

Would the 1992 comp., "The Son of Rounder Banjo" interest you? Or the Don Remo/Arthur Smith album, "The Original Dueling Banjos"? Or is the banjo of interest only in the context of more accesible songs? It's hard to disagree with the notion that the banjo is an in-moderation instrument. However, it's an instrument whose immediacy of impact is almost unrivaled. This looks great.

What's the difference between a banjo player and a savings bond? A savings bond eventually matures and earns money. (Thanks to my dad, actually a banjo player, for that one). Like it
