Comment:
Friends asked for a new wave mix and without much direction otherwise I chose some of my personal favorites from the era. Most of these were not big chart hits but they represent the songs that I seem to gravitate towards when I think of the era. Strawberry Switchblade's offering perfectly captures that wistful feeling of looking back at a favorite time while knowing the emotion can never be truly recaptured. It's a perfect note to kick off the mix, which moves through urgent keyboard driven pop to some kitschy fun and some dancefloor fillers. Feel free to ask for a trade if you're so inclined!Feedback:
I have always been wanting to find a good way to get into New Wave... and I think this might be it!
Props on the Laid Back, Strawberry Switchblade, and the great segue from Pat to Modern English.
Some interesting picks from the era. Nicely done.
