Comment:
For Reverbe, as part of a multi-disc trade she asked me to put together a mix of Pre-80's Blues. I didn't check the release dates on all these but if they're not safely pre-1980, they sound like they should be. I may have stretched the term Blues a tad.Feedback:
Forgot all about that great Southside Johnny cut! Nice....
I like-to-love most of these, and tracks 12 and 13 are two of my favorite songs of all-time (but you knew this)... Also very partial to the Karen Dalton (ahh the songwriting talents of Fred Neil), Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins, Ray Charles, Yardbirds, Howlin' Wolf, Hooker, and Dixon picks.
Three thumbs up, by Whatever way you define the blues! You are All Over the blues inspired map! Fine stuff!

stretching is good and so is this mix.
Oh yeah, baby. THem's some hot blues, Daddy-O. Dr. John, Brother Ray, Father James, it's all good!
Brilliantly compiled Mark.
Currently working on The Wonder Years next adventure 1955. As a result I'm listening to a fair bit of blues this afternoon, from said year. Wonderful choices here, love 9 & 14 in particular..
4-13 has my mojo workin' a treat.
Well I woke up this morning (Blues guitar stab here) wished this mix was on my stereo (Blues guitar stab here) -- [repeat...]This is so in the groove it's simply the groove. Love that Otis Redding pick.
