Feedback:
thoought it was a weak year but found a lot of fne stuff here
Great Ventures, Coltrane, Fats, Everly Bros and Pepper tracks.
Very cool.
4,6,11,12,13,18,22,24 & 26 are big favs.
Man, there were some killer songs that year. And I thunk of this as a sort of wussy year for music, but many of these songs have an edge. Nice.
Incredible work.
classic stuff here, all abound...
Another good one to make me reconsider how things were before they were fab.
I'm with lo-fi, slack, and p. It is kind of perceived as a slow time, before Beach Boys, Motown, and what we Yanks call the British Invasion added a dose of energy. But in fact there was plenty of cool stuff, as you Wonder guys have uncovered.
Maybe my fave of this series! (which is quite the accomplishment)
It wasn't "the 60's" yet, but it sounds like they had that 50's thing working pretty good by then -

Very nicely done.
I have a particular affinity for this year. Great job TWY!
the opening two set things off just right. other favorites include Etta Jones, Ray Peterson, Iain Gregory and the Cal Tjader track. really a terrific set.
There was music recorded before 1963?! THis comes as quite a shock. Seriously, this is another fine installment in your wonder years series. I'm shaking all over again.
1960 was just great. For one thing, not everybody had a phone -- well, at least here in UK land that was the case. Just imagine, you never had to endure --"...leave a message after the tone..." Imagine the possibilities... And the music, oh yes, the music. Just feast your ears on this little lot -- oh yes, 1960 was just great!
Wow, wonderful. I officially love the 60s - although I really like how this (for obvious reasons) retains a lot of the 50s vibe. Well done on including Bobby Darin, one of my favourite singers bar none. Love the Sam Cooke too - great job, guys!
1960, my birth year and you've not only included my birthday #1 (The Shadows) but the truly wonderful Mule Skinner Blues as well.
