i've always been one of those people who gave the 80's the least amount of attention, which makes it so surprising that not only is this TREMENDOUSLY FANTASTIC, but that it may be my favorite wonder years mix yet. i was just going to attempt to list some favorites, but found the very idea futile - there isn't a song here that isn't ace. wonderful wonderful wonderful, my MOTW for sure. (now if i can only actually access that page...)

Glad to see the series revived. Some great tunes from the first year of the "Lost Decade".

Nice! Lots of cool stuff here, which is kind of surprising as I thought it was a bad year in music.

I was single. Still attending Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Details still a little cloudy, lots of funny little green n clear pills abounding at the time and good, cheap smoke ($35 US per ounce... anything more was handed back and either the price was lowered or we walked).

Great mix -- full of music that I wish I was cool enough to be listening to in 1980 (though I did have the Pretenders and AC/DC!)

the years 1979-1982 are some of my favorites for R&B and rock, and pop too, I guess; just after disco had calmed down, yet before everyone was using synthesizers and drum machines. some great samples of the year's finest listed here. I love that you started out with AC/DC - and also liked Dead Kennedys and Specials tracks. now, I wonder who decided to include the Dexys Midnight Runners tune... great stuff, and please keep 'em coming!
