Comment:

Summer's long over, so I'm a bit late with this one. But with 90-plus degree temperatures here in San Diego today, it certainly felt like July -- so why not post another summery Pet Soundalikes mix? I have to give Valis, Nest of Vipers and Chadzwo a ride in my Woody for their contributions. And how about a pretty easy quiz? Which one of these songs mentions the Beach Boys? Be the first with the correct answer and a copy will be yours to keep. Cowabunga!

I want to win this (and the previous 7) so badly, unfortunately I have no idea re: the quiz. I'll take an educated guess, the BMX Bandits? Anyway, moe this looks fantabulous...

I didn't realize Neil Diamond and Brian Wilson collaborated. Yet another hole in my musical knowledge -- geez I'm like a wiffle ball. I like the looks of the 12-13 pairing. And I strongly approve of any & all Neil Young. (yes even the one you're thinking of)

Great Mix. The Beach Boys are mentioned in Neil Young's Long May You Run.

I amazed - but very pleased - that you can still find material for this series. Fantastic stuff, Ion! :)

This is just wonderful. How the heck do you manage to do this so often and so well? I just saw Petra a couple of weeks ago and was blown away by her version of "God Only Knows"

Another 5 star volume of Pet Soundalikes. Listening to this one right now - it may be the best yet! Great intro with The Lilac Time and outro with Hush. I'll be using some of your stuff for the upcoming third installment of A Wall of Pet Sounds. More comments via email my friend. Thanks for the disc!

I guess you could call it a tie for the correct answer (Neil Young's "Long May You Run") Orchid gave a rather vague response to the question, while XYZ came right out and said it. I'll send 'em both copies.
