Comment:

(2) CD mix of recent acquisitions. My last four weeks of Amazon Orders, iTunes downloads and (2) trips to my favorite CD Shop on the Planet (the now semi-famous Paul's in Pittsburgh) and a disc I retrieved from my brother after 7 years.
I'm really pleased with how this came out. Thanks to my shopping consultant, Rob C. Title is from Mr. Waits.
I was really good to me this Christmas :-)

Whoa... this looks quite good. Love the last four tracks on the first CD, and the second CD... GODDAMN! So many favourites. The first 11 tracks is fucking sweet. Awesome mix.

This looks really great, Mark, but I'm sure you knew I'd say that. :-) And you're welcome for the many, many recommendations that wound up on this mix...

i just spent 200+ dollars myself on elvis costello's remastered back catalogue, so i can say i sure do know how wonderful it is to splurge. as for the mix, disc one alone does it for me on so many fronts, then you get to disc two -- between the zombies, the stooges, the shins, the buzzcocks, neil young, tom waits, the clash...too many to name! uniformly excellent from first track to last.

You've started '07 with a bang, I must say! Jazz, rock, blues melding seamlessly. A lovely compilation, my friend.

This is absolutely top-notch. A big round of applause to you for the opener, and the quality is solid all round. I keep seeing so much about Paul's on here, I feel like some sort of pilgrimage is in order! :)

Always nice to buy presents for oneself at Christmas, that way you always get the right size and color. Great looking mix and congrats on the return of the prodigal CD.

I also have the occasional huge spending spree on CDs. Do I feel guilty? No, never. I could be spending my hard earned cash on ciggies or booze. Wait, I do also. Anyway a fine Double CD Mix. Disc 2 just edges it for me, although there's so many great track on 1. A potential MOTW here...

Hi Mark - yeah, sometimes we just owe ourselves a hell of a good Christmas because nobody else will get use what we want (and deserve!). I was good to me this year as well.Tell me , how strongly do you recommend the Newsom Y's cd and the Tv on the Radio Cookie Mountain cd? I really haven't purchased any new stuff this year other than some jazz reissues, and I'd like a taste of some excellent new stuff. Best to you in 07. Steve

Angels we have heard on high . . . how long has this been going on?

Well, this has now introduced me to a whole bunch of new material and persuaded me I should just let you do all my Xmas music shopping for me; I'd get better results that way. The particular tune I'm humming right now is by the Ditty Bops, who've convinced me that, yes, my head IS too big!

Thanks, Mark!
