More fun than the second season of "Alf"!!!! And, that, my friend, is saying a whole lot. And, at 30 minutes, I think I can play this along to an episode!

Good Lord, is "End of the World" really 20 years old? I generally loathed 80's music but you found a couple notable exceptions here.

Awesome stuff. I didn't think a mere 10 songs could pack such a punch. I might have to re-evaluate my whole kitchen-sink approach to mix-making after this. Thanks also for the download, and cool trivia! On top of being a premier mixologist, you're such a crowd pleaser too :)

Excellent! I have more than a soft spot for 80s music and you've picked out some crackers here. I used to adore 'Victim of Love' as a youngster, although I was never confused :)
Of course 1987 was the worst year for music as 'The Smiths' split up, sniff...

Dear God! Did these songs really come out 20 years ago?! I feel so old. Great tunes, and I'm digging the fun facts. Why can't I be you? Seriously.

Dear god indeed. this reminds me that my high school 20-year reunion is coming up later this year. "Victim of Time" is more like it. the suspense of your countdown was killing me (I was a young Solid Gold addict in the early '80s and kept a running list of their weekly top ten for over 2 years). real fun, Karen.

Mike Eternity:Thanks for the kind, kind words.
anthony lombardi & musicgnome:You are quite welcome for the link. I haven't provided one in awhile for a few reasons. I enjoy the 30 minute format and would certainly recommend to Aotmers to try it. You'll like it! I feel it has made a better mixer outta me overall. 30 minute-mixes are crafted at the Forsyth Family Compound (see picture above).

nothing against the mixxer, you do a great job karen, but i have to give the descenting opinion. there is nothing here that really grabs me. if this is the best 1987 can do, it is a down year for me.
it is post high school and college for me and so this isn't an era that is impressed in my pysche like it is for some of the responders. i am downloading and will give it a listen. knowing you the strength will be in the combination of tunes, making the sum greater than it's parts. keep mixing!

That was 1987?!? I was young?!? Wasn't that the year folks started to lop off their hair?

I'm also diggin' your selective slice of '87 (and, incidentally, I kill 'em with my rendition of Need You Tonight at the local karaoke klub).

Love the green & a whole chunk o' 80's stuff I actually like. 20 years ago eh, pleased to say I'm less responsible now than I was when 24. Give it another 20 years & I'll be downright juvenile!

Hi Karen - late to the comment party but got the download when you posted - enjoyable stuff. I like the 30min format too (and happily, it's the length of my commute). Defo prefer the portability of the download to the streaming option.
