Comment:
Cycle continued: So the idea for this one is that previously seduced girl from vol. 1 is corrupted and let loose into the world and repeats the cycle upon unwitting men. The most cohesive fit seemed to be from songs centering around the idea of the Siren (not to be confused with this mix's creator...I'm nice, really :-) ) I'm not quite as happy with the flow of this one, but most of the songs are really really pretty. I like the symmetry here in that, it has predominantly female voices as opposed to a mostly male representation in the previous volume.Feedback:
I really like these two mixes, and especially like that you found complimentary choices by several of the same artists for each volume. A bevy of stars for this effort.
I could live without track 2 but the rest looks cool. Forgive me for saying but Tim Buckley's, 'Song To The Siren,' would fit neatly amongst this company.
No Apologies necessary:
You know it's funny, I actually had reservations about "Rebel Yell," but then one of the songs I thought I had chosen (although I now realize must have just been considering) had a line in it about a rebel yell. For the life of me a cannot figure out which song it is although I'm pretty sure now it didn't make the mix. I LOVE Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren" (it's the origin of my AOTM username)but I chose This Mortal Coil's cover of "Song to the Siren" for the female voice and the fact that it's in David Lynch's (my favorite director) "Lost Highway." It's the background music to one of the most erotic scenes ever, at least for me, aptly depicting an older (albeit not by much) woman who has seduced a young man into murder. I suppose I could have both versions if I replaced rebel yell as it's main purpose for existence apparently disappeared on me.

And I know this girl/woman/siren
