Comment:

This mix goes out to one of my best friends who's headed to dental school. Unfortunately I could only find two songs dealing directly with dentistry and probably not surprisingly they're both pretty satirical and not too flattering. Well, 3 after trying limewire, but the discovery was a strange-disjointed-techno-spanish song called dentista that unfortunately did not make the cut. I had to revise my plan a bit so now it's more of a story about the dangers of teeth neglect with the inclusion of songs about teeth and candy. Certainly one of the more challenging themes I've tried. There is definitely some bubble gum poppish stuff in here, but for me, it really is infectious in places. Thanks to Joey de Vivre for the Suzie and the Dentists' song.

But you have nothing by the Dentists,a fine English band from Kent.Otherwise a sterling job especially with Aqua,Death Cab and the Mountain Goats on the same mix.

Amazing! I wouldn't have thought this could be done at all, let alone so well. (& a timely reminder that I do have to check in with the dentist . . . )

Thanks to Sid viscosity: I'll be switching First Coat's "Toothbrush" with Un Bunny's "Dental Hygienist" unless I can fit them all

Great theme, great song listing -- hope your friend appreciates the effort! Oh, and there is a great Philly pop band called The Teeth should you happen to want to purchase them a "dental" themed c.d. in the future: http://www.myspace.com/teeth

Haha, very cool mix, excellent Mountain Goats and Mississippi John Hurt picks in particular. I was just going to recommend the Unbunny song to you, but I see this has already been covered.
