Happy St. Patrick's Day!:I made this for a few of my camping buddies who like to wear kilts both in the bar and while hiking...as well as drink both Irish and Scotch Whiskey. Having learned a bit of the practice chanter myself, I can't pass up a good combo of punk and bagpipes as well some good ol' Irish drinking songs. The U.S. and Canada make a good showing too amongst the Irish and Scottish selections. I must say, though, if you listen to only one song from this, let it be Jim Stafford's "Under the Scotsman's Kilt." The punchline gives me a good laugh every time I hear it. This mix starts with a great pipe version of Misirlou (a cover of the very same song made current via Pulp Fiction,) leads into some rambunctious and loud drinking/fighting songs, mellows for the likely passed-out-under-the-table stupor, the inevitable hangover, and the final (or so the host hopes)parting.
Enjoy, but don't blame me if you get into a bit O'Trouble after listening.
