Comment:
2 CD set to console me as I miss the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival for the 6th consecutive year in about a month. All I need is these discs, 75 different kinds of Cajun food, lots of Beer, sunshine and 100,000 of my closest friends and I'll feel like I'm there.Among the acts that are going to be appearing but would not fit on this collection:
4.27 - Soulive, T-Bone Burnett, Kermit Ruffins, subdudes.
4/28 - Rebirth Brass Band, Ludacris, Johnny Rivers, Mose Allison, Sonny Landreth, Terence Blanchard, Henry Butler
4/29 - Brad Paisley, Jill Scott, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, C.J. Chenier, Rosey Ledet
5/4 - Tony Joe White, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Walter "Wolfman" Washington. Ellis Marselis
5/5 - Cowboy Mouth, John Legend, Roy Hargrove, Nicholas Payton, Deacon John, The Dixie Cups
5/6 - New Edition, Allen Toussaint, Joss Stone, BeauSoleil avet Michael Ducet, Frankie Ford, Marva Wright and the BMWs
If you ever get a chance, go. Title from Doctor John.

Feedback:
They all ax for you, Mark.
Great stuff!
and we all had a real good time.
Looks pretty great....!
I hate to miss a festival . . . but don't get much opportunity to go to any these days (they are few and far between in the desert)great looking extended mix though . . . and what an opener !
Well, I guess this is the next best thing than actually being at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Next year maybe?
great city, great food, great drinks and of course great music
Hail! Hail!
Fun times for all....
man, oh man. really great collection here. i'm with ya.
Laissez les bon temp roulier! Excellent job. Looks like an incredible line up for this year. Wish I could be there, too. But creating this will be a fine consolation.
Wow. Expansive yet refined.
Duly noted, one day I'll go. Great mix and I'm with Gobi re the opener.
A splendid line up Mark.
waaaay too much good stuff here to single anything out, but one thing i can say is that i never took you for a john mayer fan, mark. i don't really listen to his first album anymore (too much pop fluff for me, although his latest is a huge step forward), though that is one of my favorites off of it. this should console you just fine -- superb work.
Wow. Like Anthony, too much goodness here to single out any. Marvellous mix.
BTW once the Exhibits get back on their feet this is getting added to "Where You Got Those Shoes."
Great collection. Great city too.
Much of this looks cool & fun. It's a shame that Mose didn't fit, though (I've been moderately obsessed with him lately).
Looks amazing - like a lot of people on here I fully plan to get there one day! I absolutely love that Calexico cut and anything Branford Marsalis is good by me.
Honkytonk iguanas are giving me the fever too !
