Comment:
This CD leaps to the present day (almost), and I have to declare that Radiohead are the single most important band to me. I've seen them live 4 times and they are just so great. Their music takes on a very different persona played live. I'm always on the lookout for music that is different to the mainstream. Right now there seems to be another big upsurge in music from bands, which has been a joy to witness. A similar thing happened in the early 90's with Nirvana, Blur, Oasis, The Charlatans et al. Nirvana were the band that finally broke through to my son, and are the reason he got involved in music. His first band covered all of best bands around from the mid 90's onwards, as well as penning their own material, and we had a great time gigging across East Anglia. (With me as "roady" and driver for a while)In between the periods represented on these 2 CD's I have amassed a large, and varied music collection from the late 50's to the present day. I'm looking forward to compiling many more "mixtapes" from this collection over coming years, and sharing them with other music fans.
