Comment:
Some unusual covers I discovered during my web-wide-free-legal-download excursions. Links are to the source sites. For those of you who didn't catch it, this was my April Fools joke for the year ... unfortunately, none of these covers exist (as far as I know) but I wish they did (especially 2,11,16 and 18). Check out the first letters of the Artists and Songs for the hidden clue. I had way too much fun with this one.
Feedback:
Hmm. Interesting. Are you sure all of these are really legit?
(FYI, that last comment was from me, not SwankQueen.)
Some very interesting covers here. A mix I'd love to hear. Ornette Coleman does the Violent Femmes? 1, 9 & 15 in particular intruige me...
yeah, i second rob here -- lots of times covers are just mislabeled, & lots of these seem a little strange to be true. they do look rather interesting in their own odd kind of way though, something i'd really like to give a spin (if just to know this is real!)
To quote Doris Wishman, "if you don't have imagination, you have nothing."
Orange Juice covering the Doors? NROTPS covering NWA? Oh wait a minute, I just remembered what day it is ;)
Brilliant Mark. I was well and truly fooled. Great trick man...
this is the second april fools joke played on me today -- damn you, mark. ah well...it was a good one
i was so wanting to hear uriah heap doing pasties. damn you mark.
Whitesnake!!!!!! F Yeah. Takes a courageous mixer to deliver a track like that while still acheiving a worthy mix. You've done so. And, I am better for it.
You bastard. ;-)
I've been digging your exursions into free legal downloads. Been quite interesting.
you must have pulled these couplings randomly from a hat! what great music this list would make; I say we start a petition. happy (late) AFD!
