joey -- woody allen was 44 years old when he made manhatten, but close! isaac davis, the character, however, was 42...

Thank you Joey and Anthony for pointing out the Woody Allen connection. I had no idea (haven't seen Manhatten in a very long time). It's amazing how often these sublinimal links crop up.

Yes, this is indeed a present to cherish. Great job! And Woody was correct about Louis and Potato Head Blues. I ran out and got that record after seeing Manhattan in the early 80s.
