Two weeks ago it was 18F here in Iowa, today it was 80F. If I had a pool I would have been sitting at it with a pitcher of Pina Calada's and this mix playing just loudly enough to intrigue but not annoy the neighbors. As it was, I spent a good portion of the day putting this together. It was inspired by accidently playing tracks 2 and 3 back to back. As a bonus, I found a way to get from Beefheart to Miles by way of Cat Stevens. Title from Ms. Sobule. Link for your enjoyment.Feedback:

well it's about 43C here now (110F) so I'm getting a bit sick of the heat and humidity this year already . . . having said that I have a new technique for keeping cool which is moving a plastic chair into the pool (chiller on max) and sitting with a beer in one hand and my music clutched above the water in the other (I've got a floating ashtray). This would help those moments of stress . . . . great to see Miles on a mix - I can feel a Bitches Brew moment coming on . . .
Incredibly it's been 90F here since before the weekend. I have no neighbours so sounds outdoors have been up to festival levels for weeks now hooray (yet again the local cows are being freaked out of their skins) Love the mix Mark - even track 4 cos The Band are backing his wretched voiceness.
