Comment:
I would like to introduce to you a mix of great social and political importance. But until I think of one, hear is what I got.A couple of years ago some of my friends asked for a drinking mix. I was shocked, shocked I tell you. But err, its as though I happened to have a couple of tunes that fit the bill. Now it seems, being the drunks that they are, all copies have been lost. So once again they came to me with a request. I was hesitant to comply. However once they promised me a couple of double ducers, I was on board. Here's to you!Feedback:
Vintage! 7.9.16.18.20 and of course 22 are personal favs.
ummmm, tastefully tasteless..., a LOT of favorites (and see my own tasteless series). Willie's "Whiskey River" would certainly fit too.
i don't drink but this surely gives me the temptation -- warm, funny & crude (in a good way) stuff, terry, especially the closer (a personal favorite of mine)
I like beer.
I'm not so fond of drinking (and not at all fond of being drunk), but I love tracks 7-8, 11-13, and 20-22.
I no longer drink ! However, I used to so I can comment . . . a load of belters here including a personal guilty pleasure in 'cold gin' . . .
Great mix. Funny commentary. And, Cold Gin! Fan-TASTIC!
Particularly entertaining, since I went out drinking for a friend's 21st last night. A suggested addition might be The Little Willies - I Gotta Get Drunk.
Brain cell destroyingly good.
lol - this looks like it would've been lots of fun to make. hope you still have a few brain cells left ...
for volume 2, i'd recommend 'wasn't that a party' by the irish rovers:
"could've been the whiskey / might've been the gin / could've been the 3-4-6 packs, i don't know / but look at the mess i'm in' and so on.

Well I enjoy the occasional tipple ( Christmas, Birthdays, Bar Mitzvah's, Anniversaries, Sundays, Thursdays, Lunch Hours etc etc ). And I cetainly enjoy the occasional hemizen mix. This being no exception. I'll drink to this.....Doh!
I love this mix from Robin Williams to Tom Waits-except I can't seem to relate to #20. Knowing those friends-good luck collecting on those double ducers. I, on the other hand, will trade one of my priceless mixes for a copy of this one--what a deal!
long ago i used to live these songs. now i just laugh and sing along.
Seems me and Gobi will no longer be sharing a friendship if he's taken up temperance!Either that or I'll just have to drink twice as much when we're together here-on-in. Glass raised as I toast another top Hemizen mix.
Track 20 is of great social and political importance! Cool mix.
Cheers! (Hic!)
I agree with Rob here (about the tracks, not the drinking part)!
This is Hi-Octane!
Fun, in a mildly intoxicating way. I'll pull this one out at my next poker night...
Love the title and the feel
What i wouldn't give to play this on "movie night". (Read: four six packs four friends and yelling commentary at the DVD night) Tee hee.
