This site only allows 30 slots to enter songs, and this mix is 34 songs long! It's one big mp3 file, 1 hour, 38 minutes, 9 seconds long. It's based off the tunes I played as a guest DJ for Club Touched in Sacramento, CA (sadly no longer around). It was my first guest slot in a while, so I made a "commemorative" mix... Unfortunately, I couldn't shorten it to under 80 minutes, so I had to do it as one big mp3 file to avoid gaps between tunes. I used SoundForge to mix and blend the transitions to simulate what I did when I spun the tunes at the club. I still have the mp3 in bitrates from 128 to 256, so if anyone would like a copy, let me know and I will see what I can do (maybe upload to sendspace.com or something).

I was guest DJ at Club Touched (@ the Press Club in Sacramento)
on 10 April 2005, and my skills were a bit rusty (not to mention
it was too dark to read the words next to the buttons on the
console), but it was still a blast and I will be back there for
another guest slot on 19 June 2005. Originally I planned a regular
CD mix, but because my set went longer than planned I could not
pare it down to under 80 minutes for a CD version. So I just left
it as an mp3 version available for download or as an mp3 CD.
I made no cuts between the tracks because mp3 players usually put
gaps in between mp3s during playback. If it was a regular CD
compilation I would have broken it down into 34 seperate files for
the listener's convenience. But none of these tunes are throwaways,
in my opinion... none deserve to be skipped over. Anyway, it very
closely approximates my 10 April set; the file is not perfect
(especially with the limited technology I have at home right now)
but it's still an enjoyable listen at high volume or as party music.
