Comment:
Sometimes I take long drives and make lists, this is one of them.

Oh, and if anyone can tell me where I can get my hands on the David Byrne cover of Blue Hawaii, I will give you many keeses.
Good choices (and you had a lot to choose from.) As for the David Byrne cover, you might have better luck posting your request in the forums under the "Find a Song, a Band, a Lyric" category. This post will be off the new mixes page in less than a week, but the forum posts stay up for months.
nice! I made a blue mix once upon a time. I like the idea of a box set of color mixes.
Thanks for the tip - still kind of new to the site and not quite sure how it all works quite yet.
This is a neat idea. I reccomend "Bluebirds" by Adam Green :)
I know you have a Ryan Adams song already, but there's always "My Blue Manhattan"!
Yes! Bring on more "blue" songs.
ooo oooo, Mr. Blue Sky by ELO.
how can you hate a mix with django reinhardt? ohhhhh wait, you can't.
I like lists and long drives, too. A/S/L?
Seriously though, even though the song styles themselves don't have much unity, the titles create a really atmospheric feel to the mix that bridges the gaps. And I like that you eschewed some of the first choices that might come to mind for this idea (Blue Monday, Blue Moon, Blue Orchid, Blue Velvet) in favor of some eclectic goodness. Mojave 3, Erasure, and Clem Snide stand out for me. Might I suggest "Bluebird Over the Mountain" by the Beach Boys? "Blueprint for Departure" by Bedroom Eyes? "Bluefish" by Gary Jules? "Blues from a Gun" by Jesus & Mary Chain? "Blue Skies" by Albert Hammond Jr? Etc. etc.

One of the finest VU tracks, ever. I would have chosen a different Ryan Adams track ("The Rescue Blues", probably), but I'll never fault you for picking any of his stuff...well most of it. Good work here.
Wow, thanks. You guys are nicer than my real friends!
