How's the training going? They put you in any flight simulators yet? You must near that point by now.

All goes well here. Your brother Abe decided on Christian Studies for a major, no big surprise there. He met a very nice girl, too, brought her over for the first weekend of summer break before heading back to his apartment. Tommy's good, too, been acting up a bit in catechism but has straight A's otherwise.

I know you're not happy with your surroundings right now, but trust me, years from now you'll thank me. The military has a way of straightening out its members. And it's not like war looms in the distance. Gore's just a neutered version of Clinton and Bush junior is Reagan lite. No, we might wag another dog or save another Kuwait, but we're mostly a nation of peace now. It'd take another Pearl Harbor to change that.

God'll help you out. I believe it. The scientists might know what they're talking about with their "no cure" bias, but God'll still find a way to help you out. Yeah, I could've sent you to some professional (maybe that guy who was on CNN), but then people start to ask questions. Not these people. It's their stated policy. Just keep up that indestructible small talk barrier of yours and you'll be fine.
