Comment:
I can hardly believe this mix came together as quickly as it did: most of the songs were culled within an hour or so, and the running order soon followed. Only the Portishead and Radiohead tracks didn't come out of my original setting down. Others considered included PJ Harvey (I Think I'm A Mother), Jane's Addiction (Summertime Rolls), 30 Seconds To Mars (Is It A Dream), Cribabi (Beautiful Mistake) and a different Radiohead song (I Want None Of This).Inspired, in part at least, in the misanthropy I felt after having just watched Koyaanisqatsi (for the first time in several years) and V For Vendetta (on a rare night when I had the TV to myself). Also inspiring were some truly exceptional mixes posted on the site last week. Coming up with the title was the most difficult thing about this before I settled on an homage to the Bunuel film, which just seemed to fit, adopting the indefinite article. Mesh 95.
Feedback:
Can't believe this got no comments when it was posted. It's fantastic, and I hope we trade again Patrick. Of the tracks I didn't know I loved the Deadlines - Hart run, and the Cosmicdust. And that Kronos Quartet - hearing is believing! Cheers for this..
