Comment:

My overdue recent acquisitions mix for the last month and a half or so. The Beach Boys tune has been on at least three mixes on AOTM recently but I had already decided I needed to put it on s mix so ... here it is. Track 12 features our own Sean Lally in a steller guitar showcase. The two Son House tracks at the end are final tune and encore on a live disc and belonged together. Title from Ween.... can't quite explain why that tune tickles me so, but it does. Link if you care to partake.

Great stuff there, Mark. And is that cover an original work of yours? ;-) I love that Ween tune, as well.

this looks like gold, mark - the 7-9 & 16-19 stretches really do it for me, & i love the rufus, wilco & beach boys tracks too

Well, Rob, as a matter of fact it is (when I'm waiting for things to upload and download I like to mess around with Paint, Google SketchUp etc.)

Nothing wrong with "Add Some Music To Your Day" becoming ubiquitous around these parts. Overall, this looks pretty nice, Mark.

Magic mix. Lovely 5-7 run. And the 8-10 bit shows you've still got your finger firmly on the pulse. Oh and the 16-21 is very classy....

Looks like you certainly did add some music to your day -- or should I say month. Some fine inclusions, like Ms. Shannon and the Bird and the Bee.

Heh . . . I like Pollo Asado too. I bought an expensive imported CD single of "Freedom of '76" (which I also like) just to get my hands on it. 'Course, this was in those treasure hunty days before mp3s.

Speaking of, if you haven't found it already, my favourite free mp3 site is 3hive.com. Make sure you check out the extensive archives!

By the way, thought you should know that the blues mix you made for me last year has never left my heavy rotation list. :)
