Comment:
I recently had the priviledge to see the Spinners and B.B. King in concert. At 81, B is clearly the outstanding bluesman of his time and a professional in the truest sense.
Feedback:
He is indeed the king. Great choices. And I think the Thrill is Gone is in my top ten songs, period. Lovely.
It's on, it is not gone. The thrill, that is. Excellent tribute to a great bluesman and his guitar named Lucille.
BB is definitely the man - wonderful tribute
A monster mix of a monster bluesman. Saw him in '93 with Buddy Guy, Albert Collins,Eric Johnson, Koko Taylor and Junior Wells. One of my top shows ever.
i saw him repeatedly in the 80's. i always thought it was unfair to have that much talent, voice, guitar, showmanship, in one individual. how blue can you get is my fav.
tricky little challenge this - to take just 20 tracks from his output. Having said that, you seem to have pretty much nailed the selection . . . maybe 'Guess Who' would have made my cut.Lubbly jubbly !
Never gave this man his due respect (even though I have numerous recordings). Sigh, so much music, so little time.
Understand Chris' comment, perhaps I'm up me own arse cos I seem to favour more obscure bluesmen.
Nobody loves me but my mother, and she could be jivin' too!
I've never been a massive fan, but this looks like a worthy collection.
great mix for a top-notch performer
Ha! That is a GREAT name for a King mix!
Nice one for a great.
good work - i personally love sweet little angel
