Comment:

In 1978 at a Rock Against Racism show organized by the Anti-Nazi League, Strummer wore a controversial t-shirt bearing the words "Brigate-Rosse" with the Red Army Faction (Baader-Meinhof) insignia in the middle. He later said in an interview that he wore the shirt not to support the left-wing terrorist factions in Germany and Italy, but to bring attention to their existence. In the song "Tommy Gun" his stance was ambiguous.
Adam Ant's greatest chart success was 1982's Friend or Foe album, which included the hit single "Goody Two Shoes" which made it to #1 in the UK and Australia, and #12 in the U.S. Other hits from that album included "Desperate But Not Serious" and its title track.
As reported by Mercury in Melody Maker, May 2, 1981, he composed "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" on the guitar in just five to ten minutes. Other accounts say that he wrote it while lounging in a bubble bath in the Bayerischer Hof Hotel in Munich during one of Queen's extensive Munich recording sessions.
Prior to the release of the single record, Lowery pressed up promotional copies of "Be-Bop-A-Lula" and sent them to radio stations throughout the country. By the time that Capitol released the single (a two-sided 45rpm record), "Be-Bop-A-Lula" had already gained attention from the public and radio DJ's. "Be-Bop-A-Lula" was picked up and played by other U.S. radio stations (obscuring the original "A-side" song), became a hit and launched Gene Vincent as a pop star. Vincent's backing band was The Blue Caps. Liner notes courtesy of Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. PLAY MIX NOW!

Nice mix and good to read the history.
I did not understand the part about "sent them to radio stations throughout the country;" why didn't he just put it on his myspace page and text them the link? ;-)
