Mixed emotions here. RHCP are my least favourite band ever, and that is really putting it mildly. I hate all their songs equally, especially that one!
But the 6-close stretch does go a long way to redeeming this mix for me. And I'm all for the ommission of track 7. Whe needs track 7s anyway?

Concur with sammyg123 on RHCP but am fascinated by Ann Richards. Have to investigate her. I think Kathryn would suit that look especially the spiked collar.

i agree with sammyg123 and KathrynandRupert; this mix would have been closer to perfection rather than redemption had it not been for RHCP's inclusion. in their hey-day, they were a glorified/overratedcover band but now they are not relevant.

have to disagree with Sam and ZoT about the Chili Peppers. I've always liked them, and I'm impressed that they've become a bit smarter over the years - and basically that they're still around at all. and for bands that are "still around," they've remained pretty damn good, IMHO. this mix is wonderful, and I'm only sorry it took me so long to hear it. loved the Gorillaz, Beastles, Jil Jilala, Teena Marie and Ann Richards. was only familiar with Teena Marie's '80s hits, but that more recent song is great! looked her up and now want to hear more recent stuff, as well as some of her recordings from the late '70s and early '80s. thanks for sharing this, Karen. I'm glad you're back.
