Get Your Groove On
Comment:
I can't remember when I have had so much fun making a mix. I was shaking my groove thang. I was shaking my money-maker. I was shaking things I didn't know could shake. I was singing at the top of my lungs (sorry neighbors). Nestled in among these classic artists is Ryan Shaw who's debut album, "This Is Ryan Shaw", is one of the best releases of 2007.Feedback:
Groove me has been on about a dozen mixes in the last couple of months, and rightfully so, a soul masterpiece. Soul Sister.. is a fav, as is Reasons (at one point I could actually hit the high notes in that tune!) 10 and 11 are also all-time classics and "I Can't Turn You Loose" used to be a signature song for my R&B band a few years back. Masterfully done, no way not to Shake It to these tunes.
Absolute classic.
It looks absolutely, uhm...groovy (and soulful, baby).
yeah, i can dig it - if this thing doesn't get you shaking, then i don't know what will - the otis, aretha, temptations, james brown, delfonics & sly stone are particular favorites
sounds good to me.
Garnet Mimms!!! Great to see him, along with plenty o' other classics here (particularly Otis, Delfonics, Edde H., James, Sly, King Floyd and Sam & Dave). This is fantastic, my friend.
Just amazing Terry. Each & every track..
Lemme hear you shake yer tail feather Terry. Groovalicious.
Puttin' some stank on it. Funk-ay.
I am LOVING this!
Mighty fine, mighty fine
Sa-weeeeet!!!!!
I can def. get into this. Thirteen and onwards is just straight-up amazing.
this looks fun though i'm not really familiar with half of it! big Otis fan though.
Sweet, sweet funky soul! Love everything here.
cheers, this looks lika swell time
This is the music I grew up with, much of which I haven't heard for decades! Thanks for the link.
What a party. Great stuff all the way.
So you were the source of the caterwauling I heard coming from my neighbor's house the other night :) Looks like a fun one. You must have been in a "funk" when you made it.
Quite the feedback for an R&B mix which, in itself, makes me appreciate this AOTM brotherhood. Love Land is a great closer.
I agree with SteveRaglin.
I agree with DJ Karen Adams.
