Comment:

A theme mix in a vague sense of the word - lyrical references to winter and cold and mittens and winter clothes do appear on a bunch of these songs, but mostly it's a laid-back mix to listen to while drinking a pot of tea and watching the snow fall through the window and knitting sweaters, or something along those lines. Housed inside a hand-knitted sleeve.

Looks like a warming mix. Like the Iron & Wine & Mississippi John Hurt especially.

Your description is great . . . . I know so little here that I wouldn't necessarily have got that . . . . do you have Earl Grey ?

I'm with Ratchet on those two. I've also developed a taste for Radian (thanks for that!)

The Wad used to have Last Sessions and it got lots of play during wake & bake sessions. John Hurt is by far my favorite of the acoustic bluesmen. Looking forward to the rest as well...

Even though I don't like tea I think I might like a lot of this.

I'm in that wintery session myself right now. Huge snowstorm hit on Monday and I had to suddenly bring out the old lamb wool sweaters, which I actually love wearing.
Your mix is splendid. A lot of stuff on it were on my internal list of bands to check out, and well, now I know why... I should have checked them out. Favourites: 2, 4, 10, 11 and 20. Fantastic mix.

listened to this one at work while wearing a tee, and that worked also. but I'm gonna have to try again as prescribed because it does sound ideal. count me among those who are glad to see you back; loved Spokane, Marissa Nadler (perhaps my favorite here), Thee, Stranded Horse and loved the quiet moods leading up to that great Elephant Micah closer. wonderful and warm.

A late listen. Many apologies ( to myself for dneying this me for far too long ). Just beautiful, I'm inspired to do something similar for winter. 2,3,7, 11-13 sounded great. You're the best at closing stretches on mixes also. Wonderful & warm as your namesake mentioned..

Well that looks like a warm CD cover!

Best of the New Year to you. Did I miss some news, like a new grad school or something?
