Comment:
Here's to Sam who appreciates new discoveries and, certainly, enjoys sharing them. Easily, this gangster of love can be dubbed king of the alt-dj mix here. Thanks to Sister ZoT for the Velvet Underground and Nicole tracks. This is my thank you!

Hear, hear
That Sammy knows his music. A fine mix.
Gave this a listen whilst submitting the Gangsters latest. I've been a fan of that Irfane track from the second I heard it. The Dare - Mockingbird run was very smooth. One of my fave YLT tracks followed the classy Beef choice. And the VU - Nicole was inspired. Love that Nicole track, so does tornadoZ. And an all time classic from Shuggie finished things off nicely. Thanks a billion Karen...
Ok - changed my clothes and I'm back in my role as Sammy. Thanking you once again..
Very excited to hear this. The SammyG tribute album is always a good idea.
Huzzah!!!!!!
love the opener, the aretha, the box tops, & VU cuts - kudos on successfully completing a mix that stands next to its inspiration
This looks lovely!
Nice. Fantastic mix for an awesome contributor to this site.
great as always
& what a top bloke the man is too!
This was super fun to research and present. The Franklin-Box Tops-Beefheart-YLT run is my personal fave from this. Cheers!
Cool. Love that Shuggie Otis
finally gave this a long-overdue listen. yes, tornadoZ does indeed love that Nicole Hohloch track. also the Shuggie Otis, Yo La Tengo (who I'm finally getting into quite seriously lately), but best of all is the Jeff Buckley opener. hadn't heard him do that song before; one of the most beautiful things I've heard in a while. a wonderful tribute.
