Comment:

This is my first completed mix. I just finished it for a girl I've had a crush on for a while, I really wanted Richman to be the closer, but we just had this conversation about Redding or Cooke, she liked Cooke, so I had to close with that one. I don't know if anyone could pick this up, but since I had to do that I wanted to make the end a little hazy so that the mix almost feels like a continuous loop with Richman being the ying and Cooke being the yang. We'll see if it works at all, and more importantly, if she digs it. *crosses fingers*

Thanks a lot! I was just able to upload the tracks, too. So, if anyone would like to give it a shot they'd be more than welcome to. A few more quick notes about the mix. It's intended to be listened to on a crossfade of 3 seconds to ensure proper flowage. I'd like to say a tad on a few diamonds in the rough, too. "Lean Woman Blues" might be one of the most underrated T. Rex songs period. "I Can't Stand It" is far and away one of JB's funkiest tracks (he has to take his shoes off cause it's so funky!). When in the right frame of mind, "The Morning Of Our Lives" could bring anyone to tears. If you don't know The Dells, you're in for a big surprise! I picked up the Rasputin's Stash track from a MoTW up to or maybe even longer than a year ago ((see The Secret History of Chicago Music), it's got more soul than a sock with a hole). And lastly, I couldn't pass up that Smith track. It was on the Deathproof OST, and I'd heard several other takes on the song but this brings home the bacon. Really hope you all enjoy. Dig in!

okay, this is my last comment. I just substituted "Wagon Wheel" for "Andy's Chest". Both are from Reed's Transformer album, just realized "Wagon Wheel" fit a little better. It's not in the .rar, but if it's in your collection I'm sure you can plop it in.

That was my favorite Beach Boys tune for many years and still is one of my favorites. Love the closers, especially Wolf.
