I was in charge of organizing the mix exchange this was done for, and yet even I am going to be sending this out about a week late. A little bit heterogeneously indie-pop, as mixes I make when I don't know the receiver's tastes that well can be, but it hangs well together, and I like that I got some recent favorite semi-obscurities in there (Too Much Joy, Shudder To Think, Jellyfish). The Spinto Band played 3 new songs on the Daytrotter Sessions, but I still went with old standby "Oh Mandy" (albeit in a version that amusingly incorporates "Throw Some D's" in the bridge). The title is from the Flight Of The Conchords song, because I wasn't sure how she would take A Tree Or A High-Class Prostitute out of context.
