03/01/08 What's In My Head
Comment:
Shelby Lynne adds a twist to Dusty Springfield's classic I Only Want to Be With You. Blistering Guiter on Engine of Ruin, plus new stuff by The Raveonettes, The Mountain Goats and Black Mountain and much more inside my head. If anybody can help me get Cake's Baby That's Me out of my head please let me know. It won't leave by itself.Feedback:
been digging the new black mountain & mountain goats albums
What's in your head is now what's on my desktop...thanks, Terry.
The Shelby Lynne cover is a great track and a nice start to the mix. Love sister Allison Moorer's cover song as well.
Ah, the Shelby Lynne track! Looks like your head's been filled with some top-notch earwigs.
mm looks lika a great bunch of stuff
I really love that Black Mountain track/album and the Pandoras track. Is that Earth as in Dylan Carlson?
I always like hearing what's inside your head. Sounds good in there!

Wow... Shelby Lynne to Earth. Quite the tour. I've also been enjoying the new Mountain Goats, Dengue Fever, Earth, Allison Moore, Black Mountain & Everybodyfields. Looking forward to hearing the new Shelby Lynne. Nice collection.
Muchos classicus musiqus. Love that 3-5...
You've got some awesome thoughts swirling about. The Black Mountain to LaVette is particularly intriguing.
this was a great listen, hemizen. really loved the set of #1-#5, and also High Places, Bettye LaVette, Tiny Masters of Today... and especially A Sunny Day In Glasgow. beautiful! I've got the new Mtn. Goats, but haven't even taken the plastic off yet! anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
Ooops almost missed this. Love 10 & 18. Rest looks tasty too.
Killer mix. Been listening to a lot of the Raveonettes lately, so I'm definitely digging that as well as tracks 13 and 14 a lot. I really enjoyed the 17 to closing stretch as well.
Beautiful stuff. I really love British Sea Power, Black Mountain, and A Sunny Day In Glasgow. It's always nice to see Cake and The Raveonettes.
Another great one from my favorite DJ.
