This mix started because I wanted to make a mix which involved "Find Me", "I'll Be Your Shelter", and "The Trip To Bountiful"
I like mellow type music and grew up in the Washington DC area listening to WHFS 99.1 an alternative station. (It has since moved to Baltimore and is a classic rock station now, I think).
So in my search for other songs to wrap around those three songs I selected these other songs that are somehow related to my listening to music in the 1980s...there are some more recent songs on here but not many.
Feel free to download and give them a listen to. There are three songs inparticular that I am happy to include: Tina & The B-side Movement (A now defunct band out of Minneapolis) It was my wife and my first song at our wedding (she is from Minnesota); Jimmy Landry (a musician who was local in DC who now lives in Ashville, NC - I used to go see him regularly); and The Mojo Filter Kings (a now defunct band) I would see in Richmond, Kentucky with my wife and some friends.
