Comment:

Kat's Classics presents 1990 (Volume 1) - The second in a LONG line of compilations of songs from each year from around 1988 onwards. Why 1988? Because I'm too young to remember any further back. I was only 9 turning 10 in 1988 so it's amazing I can remember back that far! I want this to play like a commercially released compilation album, but I also don't want just cliches. These are the songs that I like. For 1990 alone I have another 120 or so tucked away still. Don't worry - "Ice Ice Baby" and "U Can't Touch This" are in my collection and earmarked for future volumes. Incidentally, whilst this set runs for the length of one CD, I have designed it to fit on a C-80 cassette (40 minutes per side) so as far as formats go you can have it either way. I hope you enjoy this set. I am aware that some of these songs are actually from 1989 but they came out in 1990 where I live. "Opposites Attract" had 1988 on the label of the 45! Hopefully I'll upload another mix soon. * Denotes an Australian artist. If you are not familliar with these songs, grab the download and have a treat!

Thanks for the download. The Peter Blakely looks the most interesting.

Can't believe these tunes are almost 2 yrs. old already. Like the mix of well-known and lesser-known artists.
