Comment:
a themed mix for Jennie. We'd recently had a conversation about Lyle Lovett (and his coolness) so I decided to challenge myself to make a mix of country-ish music that was cool. Only a couple of these songs are straight country - some are country songs done by other artists (Dinah and Toots), pop songs done by country artists (Emmylou), or songs that have countryish elements (the "American," Joan A., etc.) Most of the others represent another indeigineous American music form, soul/r&b. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it.Feedback:
Try and check out 'the Radar Brothers' albums. The Singing hatchet is best. They're quite country in a not-very-country kind of way! Anyway, good mix and let me know if you hear the radar brothers.
